Your account and license
After you sign up on twilper.com (every plan starts with a 14-day trial), you receive an email with your license key and how to sign in. That license belongs to a workspace in the dashboard at chat.twilper.com.
Step 1: Open My Twilper account
Go to twilper.com/account and sign in with the email address you used for your purchase. There's no password: you get a sign-in link by email (valid for 15 minutes), or you sign in with Google.
Step 2: Accept the data processing agreement
Your license shows the data processing agreement (DPA). Accept it first. Until the DPA is in place, your workspace stays paused and your widget code is hidden.
Step 3: Open Twilper Chat
Click "Open Twilper Chat" next to your license. You're securely redirected to chat.twilper.com and land straight in your workspace.
Signing in to chat.twilper.com
The chat.twilper.com sign-in screen gives you three options:
- "Continue with your Twilper account": the recommended way for owners. You go via twilper.com and come straight back to your workspace.
- Sign in with Google: works once you've linked Google under "Settings" → "Account" → "Google account". This does not give Twilper access to your Gmail.
- "Or use a license key": paste the key from your purchase email and click sign in.
- Team members use "Or as a team member" with their own email address. They receive a secure sign-in link that's valid for 15 minutes.
Twilper Chat has no separate password. A session lasts 24 hours; after that you sign in again.
The setup wizard
For a new workspace, the setup wizard gets you going. The main steps:
Step 1: URL
Enter your website address and click the scan button. Twilper reads up to 30 pages into your knowledge base.
Step 2: Scan
Wait for the scan to finish. If it fails, try again or continue without a scan and add your knowledge later.
Step 3: Test
Ask a question your customers often ask and review the draft answer.
Step 4: Style
Pick your primary color, the bot name, the welcome message and the tone (formal or informal), then save and continue.
Step 5: Embed
Copy the code and paste it into your website before the </body> tag, or use the WordPress plugin. Then go to your dashboard.
Choosing your plan in the wizard
In the wizard's "Choose your plan" step you compare the plans and add-ons, with current prices and an explanation of each.
Step 1: Compare the plans
See what each plan and add-on includes and what it costs, and decide what fits.
Step 2: Switch plan via your account
You switch to another plan through your account on Twilper.com (twilper.com/account). That's also where you change your plan later, up or down.
The "Get started with Twilper" checklist
The "Overview" page shows a six-step checklist. Each step is ticked off automatically once it's done, and the checklist disappears when everything is complete.
- Add the widget: put the chat widget on your website.
- Add knowledge: at least one document in your knowledge base.
- Phone number: a phone line with a number.
- WhatsApp: a connected WhatsApp number.
- Invite your team: at least one active team member.
- Install the app: the Twilper app on your Android phone, with notifications on.
Good to know
- Sign in with the email address you used to buy the license.
- Have several licenses? Add them with "Add license" in the workspace switcher and switch between workspaces there.
- Only owners and admins see the management pages, such as Channels, Knowledge Base and Settings.
- Some channels are enabled per workspace. If a channel says it isn't available yet, there's nothing you need to do; feel free to get in touch with questions.
